Breast Cancer Awareness Month takes place annually during the month of October. According to the American Cancer Society, "Breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women, except for skin cancers. Currently, the average risk of a woman in the United States developing breast cancer sometime in her life is about 12%. This means there is a 1 in 8 chance she will develop breast cancer." Promotional Products Work - A Calendar Case Story!

I had a great story to share about how promotional products are worth the marketing investment because they work!

A customer that I have worked with over the past few years called me and was upset that her organization had been hit with a huge IT problem and their email program went down. Everyone in the office lost their contacts, past emails, etc. It was all gone, never to be recovered, and causing a huge amount of stress and disruption for the organization because they use their email program as the main way they access contact names and numbers.

My client said she was panicking because he had a rush order and she couldn't remember the name of my company to search online.
However, after panicking, she remembered that I send her a personalized desk calendar every year, that she likes and uses, so she was able to find the name and number for Newport Promotions right on her desk, and call to place the order.

I am thrilled to say that I was able to help her and glad that I spend MY marketing dollars in a way that helps people find me when they have a need.

Here are two takeaways from this experience:
  • People do still use printed calendars and refer to them daily, and
  • Promotional products do work to keep you top of mind when your customer is ready to call and purchase.
What are you doing to keep your company name in front your prospects and customers?
