3 Promotional Product Case Studies You Tote-ally Need to Read

How effective are bags for displaying your logo and brand information? Very!

The infographic below provided by Advertising Specialty Institute based on its research shows several positives about using bags for promotional purposes. First notice the low cost per impression of bags. Second and even more powerfully, bags generate more impressions than any other promotional item. People use them and people notice them. On your next visit to the grocery store, observe the variety of bags with company logos. At trade shows, take a look at exhibitor tote bags that end up circulating the show floor and calling attention to their brand.

To inspire you to use bags as promotional products, check out these three case histories of how different companies used tote bags with great effectiveness. How could one of these ideas work for your company?

Synergy All-Purpose Tote

A resort chain selected the Synergy All-Purpose Tote as an incentive gift to visitors who attended their timeshare presentations. The resort chain filled the tote with sunscreen, lip balm, a towel and a packet of timeshare information in return for 90 minutes of the visitors' time. Visitors used the totes while on vacation, creating a buzz about the timeshares and enticed other visitors to attend the presentations.

Uptown Convertible Diaper Bag Kit

In an effort to increase enrollment in its prenatal & birthing classes, an urban hospital provided the Uptown Convertible Diaper Bag Kit as an incentive gift. After attending all 4 classes, the expectant mothers received the bag filled with informational flyers and gift certificates provided by local businesses.

Economy Tote

A community event was held to celebrate spring as well as promote local vendors. The Economy Tote was decorated with the logos of local businesses participating in the event, and packed with information sheets on each vendor. Participants used the tote to carry around items purchased at the event and even “pinned” pictures of their tote to share on social media.

These are just three examples of how to use tote bags. Each of them can help your logo and brand remain on display for many years of impressions.

Our Best-Selling Trade Show Giveaways

Choosing items to giveaway at your next trade show event can be overwhelming just with the sheer number of choices available. After all, at Newport Promotions we have over a thousand products to fit every kind of themed event and type of audience.

Then consider that you have to factor in your budget, what your audience would like or find useful, and how many items you need. This might put you at a complete loss for what giveaway items to select.

Through years of experience, I’ve found that the best-selling and most-popular branded promotional items and trade show giveaways aren’t always the grandest or most expensive, they’re the items attendees will get the most use out of.

Here are some of our best-selling items to consider for your next trade show or event. You can’t go wrong with any of these great items:

Between brochures, giveaway items, water bottles and wallets, trade show and event attendees need an easy and non-cumbersome way to haul it all around. Help them out and give them a tote bag.

Our best-selling tote not only provides a huge space for displaying your brand, but it’s also eco-friendly since your attendees are sure to use it time and time again.

Give your trade show booth visitors a way to represent your brand all day long with our double-ended lanyards that have two separate attachments.

This is the perfect giveaway for any event that requires wearing a badge or holding on to other items such as meal tickets, breakout session tickets, etc. Attendees can keep everything right within reach at an affordable cost for you.

Hey, everyone’s got to eat, and unfortunately snacks can be hard to find at many trade show and conference venues. Rather than resorting to overpriced snacks at the closest hotel or venue gift shop, give attendees the energy they need right when they need it.

With our choices of trail mix, salted peanuts, gummy bears, chocolate covered raisins, jelly beans, and more, there are plenty of options for keeping attendees satiated.

After your attendees eat their snack, make sure they have a quick and easy clean up!

Our unique, branded refreshing towels are ideal for trade shows and conferences where lots of hands are being shook and people are touching the same door handles, etc. Give your attendees the peace of mind that they can clean their hands, if a washroom isn’t in sight.

Solve one of the most common problems at trade shows and conferences - providing power!

It never fails, at every big event you’ll always find attendees sitting on the floor by an outlet looking to boost their battery for another couple hours. And if they’re not sitting by an outlet, they’re looking for one!

Our portable battery charger is budget-friendly and the best way to ensure your attendee’s phones stay charged so they can tweet out praise about your booth or presentation.

If you’re really looking to wow your conference or trade show attendees, we love the idea of bundling all these best-sellers together for the ultimate welcome and hospitality package. These items are guaranteed to get love from attendees at your booth.

If you would like more help in choosing the best branded promotional items and giveaways for your next trade show or event, give me a call at 847-398-5500 or shoot me an email at dona.blunt@newportpros.com. I’d be happy to guide you to the perfect items for your audience!

Trade Show Promotional Idea: Using Selfies to Create Trade Show Buzz

Have you jumped on the selfie craze yet? Selfies aren't just for kids anymore. Not only are adults having just as much fun taking selfies or photos of themselves with their friends or in fun places, selfies can be harnessed to provide some creative promotions for your business.

What is a selfie, you ask? A selfie is a self-portrait photograph, typically taken with a hand-held digital camera or camera phone, which is then shared on social networking services such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, or Twitter.

Last night at the 2015 Oscars, our favorite movie stars were posing for and posting selfies left and right.

A week ago President Obama, had fun creating silly poses with a "selfie stick” while creating a promotional video for HealthCare.gov. The clip, which was produced by the video arm of the viral content experts at BuzzFeed, was online for less than an hour when it already received 100,000 views. Obama used one of the hottest-selling items in both retail and the promotional markets—a monopod, also known as a selfie stick, to capture our attention.

Why are selfies so popular? They are a fun way to communicate and express yourself. They are also a great way to encourage people to promote your brand or create some buzz in your trade show booth.

Here are some ideas on how to tap into the selfie craze to create some brand exposure for your company at your next trade show or event.

Promotional Product Ideas to Support the Movember Men's Health Campaign

Are you ready for Movember? Since a lot of men participate in October's Breast Cancer Awareness activities, like NFL team players wearing pink on game days to show their support, we know women want to get equally involved in the male-oriented Movember awareness campaign. Here are some ideas on how they can, even though they can't grow a mustache.

What is Movember exactly?

The Movember Foundation is the leading global organization committed to changing the face of men’s health. The Foundation challenges men to grow mustaches, or moustaches if you are outside the U.S., during Movember (a word combining mustache and November), to spark conversation and raise vital funds for its men’s health programs.

Guys (Mo Bros according to the charity) take action by signing up, and growing a mustache for the month of November. They ask friends and family to donate to their efforts in growing a mustache and creating conversations about men's health.

However, women (Mo Sistas) can also get involved and serve as champions for keeping the men in their lives healthier. Mo Sistas can rally their loved ones to join the movement, grow mustaches and have important conversations about men’s health.

The Movember community has raised $559 million to date and funded over 800 programs in 21 countries.

So, if you are a woman or a business who can't grow a mustache, how can you get involved?

Using Promotional Products to Start a Conversation

Create awareness and generate conversation by showing support for the men's health movement by gifting and using Mustache-themed promotional products.

Here are some of our favorite Mustache Promotional Products:

This ceramic mug is so fun! The mustache handle makes this a great conversation piece the office.

Get the whole family involved with these whimsical sunglasses. Now everyone can sport a mustache this November. If these sunglasses don't attract attention and start a conversation, I don't know what will. The Wayfarer style sunglasses come in a variety of bright colors with matching color mustache and dark lenses. These would be super fun giveaways for a Mustache-themed birthday party, too.

Add some levity to your next office meeting or hand these mustache pens out at trade shows to create awareness for the Movember Campaign. At only $1 each, these pens offer huge impact for a very small price. Restaurants can give these mustache pens to their wait staff or retailers can have them next to the cash registers so customers will get a kick out of signing their credit card receipts with the fun pens.

Print a company logo or a men's health tip on these fun meeting, conference or event giveaways. Travel incognito, protect your secret identity, or make a fashion printed mask made from high density white poster board. This would be a fun prop to use if your event is featuring a photo booth. This mustache-themed promotional item is super cheap at .30¢ each, but again offers huge impact.

Hand out this mustache keychain during the month of Movember, wild west celebrations, and costume-themed parties to turn up the volume on your promotional event! This item is so fun that people will be using it for months to come.
